BossCover Roof tile XL

From the roof, back to the roof:
EPDM trimmings recycled into unique roof tiles

How it worked out?

From pure EPDM to granules and so to roof tiles

The BossCover RoofTile XL was produced from EPDM cuttings. Our customers brought in their EPDM cuttings and our colleagues collected the pieces left over from cutting and processing EPDM. The condition was that they were pure EPDM. EPDM with glue residue, self-adhesive or with a coating unfortunately we cannot recycle (yet).

The pure material was first ground into 6 mm granules and then processed into the BossCover RoofTile XL. The tiles are 100% recycled EPDM.

Why roof tiles?

Rubber roof tiles are designed to serve as walkways on residential and industrial roofs that require regular maintenance on a variety of installations.

The tiles prevent damage to areas regularly walked on for maintenance of technical installations such as air conditioners, solar panels and the like.

Colored tiles delineate the walkway and then allow you to safely move around on the roof by walking on the tiles.

Why in format XL?

A rubber roof tile measuring 1 m x 1 m and weighing 30 kg can safely be called extra large. The format offers the following advantages:

the tiles do not need to be glued
they are heavy enough to serve as ballast
