Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Clado HPL

What are HPL siding panels?

HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) facade panels consist of multiple layers of kraft paper that are compressed under high pressure and temperature to form a compact and robust panel. They are specifically designed for outdoor applications and are used as durable, low-maintenance facade cladding in ventilated facade systems.

What is the difference between HPL and other siding materials?

HPL stands out for its high mechanical strength, color fastness, and low maintenance requirements. Compared to materials such as wood or fiber cement, HPL is more resistant to weathering and aging.

How low-maintenance are HPL siding panels?

HPL siding panels have a smooth, non-porous surface that prevents dirt from sticking. In most cases, cleaning with water and a mild detergent is sufficient.

Can HPL sheets be cut to size?

Yes. HPL panels can be easily cut and processed on-site. This makes them suitable for both large facade surfaces and detailed finishes such as strips.

Are HPL siding panels fire-resistant?

BossCover HPL is available in a fire-retardant version (FR) and complies with current European fire classifications, contributing to the safety of facade applications.
