Right in the heart of downtown Brussels, the former Anspach Building is being given a new lease on life as OXY, a multifunctional urban project featuring offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and a hotel. A renovation of this scale places high demands on every part of the building, including the roof structure.
For the waterproofing, a combination of BossCover and bituminous waterproofing was chosen. The roofing work was carried out by Tectum Group, which finished the various roof areas with the utmost care.
With more than 24,000 m² of roofs and terraces, OXY is a project of impressive scale. The combination of different roof types, terraces, and technical details called for a well-thought-out waterproofing solution tailored to the specific needs of each roof zone.
For this reason, a combination of BossCover and bituminous waterproofing was chosen. The project also includes a retention roof, which temporarily stores rainwater and drains it in a controlled manner. In this way, the roof system not only contributes to reliable waterproofing but also to a more sustainable and future-oriented building.
