An exceptional project is underway in Dordrecht: a temporary asylum seekers' center (AZC) with 60 homes and an office building for a total of 600 residents. The extraordinary thing? After ten years, the entire site will be carefully dismantled and rebuilt in another location.
Circular construction in practice
This project shows what circular building really means. Everything is designed to be detached and reused later, including the roof. The challenge was great: a circular roof that is sturdy and wind-resistant on the one hand, while remaining completely dismantleable on the other.
The answer: BossCover Circular System
Together with partner LMDD the BossCover Circular System. This system allowed us to create a circular roof structure that is both practical and sustainable.
Why circular roofs?
A circular roof is more than an innovative choice; it is an investment in the future. Fewer waste streams, lower raw material consumption and materials that get a second life. Thanks to EPDM's proven lifespan of up to 70 years, this system offers long-term security as well as flexibility for reuse.
A vision of building
At BossCover , circularity is not a buzzword, but a common thread. We build on three pillars: sustainable materials, disassembly and reuse.
AZC Dordrecht proves that circular roofs are not a theory, but a concrete solution for large-scale projects.
