For the new Amazon distribution center at the Blue Gate site in Antwerp, a roofing solution was chosen that meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and sustainability. The project included two large warehouse roofs and a canopy roof, together covering approximately 10,000 m² of roof area. A mechanically fastened EPDM roofing system from BossCover was selected.
A project of this scale requires materials that guarantee long-term performance. That is why an EPDM roofing membrane was chosen that is resistant to UV radiation, extreme temperatures, and heavy loads. The entire roof system also complies with the strict FM Approved guidelines and contributes to the building’s BREEAM Excellent certification goals.
More than 110,000 fasteners were used for the mechanical fastening of the roof. This construction method ensures durable and reliable waterproofing, tailored to the technical requirements of a modern logistics building.
